The Toyota Highlander was one of the first car base SUVs available in the U.S. and it's now been around for 25 model years.
And for 2025, Toyota is celebrating that history with a 25 Edition version of it, and it has some changes to the outside and to the inside, so let's take a look at what is different on the 25 Edition. The 25 Edition of the Highlander is based on the limited hybrid model, and for the 2025 model year, all hybrids have all-wheel drive. The 25 Edition is distinguished by its silver and platinum exterior cues. You can see 'em on the lower bumper here and when you come around to the side, where it has 20-inch platinum colored wheels. Move a little bit further back, you can see more of that platinum cues below the door, and also 25 Edition puddle lamps when you open the front doors. There's some subtle changes to the rear of the 25th Edition Highlander. They include a special badge here and also a different lower bumper treatment with, again, that platinum finish we've seen elsewhere on the vehicle. And this model is also painted a new color for 2025; it's called Heavy Metal, and you can also, though, get the 25th edition in a Blizzard Pearl as well. The interior of the 25th edition is very similar to other Highlanders. You still have the useful storage space below the center screen and in front of the passenger. And the changes are really mostly about interior color. This model has a new color, it's called Portobello, it's this brown that's on the seats and these are leather trim seats in this model. Other changes include illuminated door sills and also special floor mats with this edition, and also a unique key fob jacket as well. The 25th Edition will be limited to 2,500 units for sale in the U.S. And the Highlander goes on sale in November of this year. Pricing has not been announced yet, though.
