Prior to my purchasing a 2024 BMW X5 plug in hybrid, I had both an electric and gas powered cars due to a fear of traveling long distances with an electric vehicle. I researched both traditional hybrid and plug in hybrid coming to conclusion that plug in was perfect for my needs. BMW X5 e had the longest range so I decided to purchase one a month ago. I have driven the car approximately 900 miles on one and a half tank of gas and several nightly charges. The quality of the car is exceptional and I love the performance. I would highly recommend this car.

I've had this car for over a year now and I am generally impressed....drives great (even in snow), is quite comfortable, has lots of features, decent electronics, gets excellent mileage with and without the battery. Negatives: cheap "leather" interior, door sill is too wide to get out without getting dirt on the back of your leg (even without the options step), backup cross traffic safety is useless unless you are backing into a wall, and the hands-free lift gate is disabled if you get a trailer hitch. All fixable if BMW but some effort into it.

We had a great experience at DARCARS Volvo in Fairfax. I reached out to confirm the availability of one of the used cars and Tim, the manager, quickly responded. I got what appeared to be an erroneous Battery Maintenance message. Discussion with Jarred Brown determined there was a firmware update for the G80. Conclusion was to do the update and see if there are any other messages. Very rapid completion of the update. Jarred Brown has consistently been knowledgeable and excellent to work with.

We had a BMW iX but the fully electric vehicle wasn't working out like we had hoped. I contacted Khalil Taylor, whom sold us the BMW iX and advised him of our situation. Khalil Taylor advised that he would make us an appointment to come talk to him to see what he could work out to make us happy. We initially were going to purchase a gas vehicle but Khalil Taylor spoke to us about the advantages of a hybrid. We already had a vehicle charger installed in our garage to it would be an easy transition. After working with Khalil Taylor, we traded in our BMW iX and left with our BMW X5 xDrive50e. We are so happy that Khalil Taylor was willing to work with us again and convinced to go hybrid.

With covid and with a 7 month old, we really didn’t want to spend hours and hours at the dealer. We worked most of the deal out over the phone and had minimal to do when we arrived to test the vehicle and sign paperwork.
