Happy with brand new car

I just bought this vehicle and am pleased with the many safety features that my old car lacked. I also love the large sunroof, Auto remote and start, auto rear door lift, and Apple Car Play features.

I love it!

Beautiful car. Fast, but safe, good size, good for small family. I do wish it had a trunk button and a remote start. Otherwise, I can’t wait to spend many years with this new car!

Great comfort and tech

The features and feel of this SUV for the money is unbeatable! The Tiguan feels like a more premium vehicle. I had a ‘16 Acura RDX before this and I’ve driven the 2019 RDX, and the Tiguan is on par. Cabin materials are nice, leatherette seating, awesome legroom in the backseat, 3rd row, wireless charging, and an amazing panoramic sunroof. The drive is smooth. Some may say it’s underpowered but even with my lead foot I’ve not had any trouble.

So beautiful on the inside

The inside is beautiful, the car is slightly slow on the uptake. The outside has nice lines and this has the best technology for the price. The digital dash is heavenly.

Great value for a great car!

I liked the Tiguan from a while ago but from the model change in 2018 the car is slightly bigger. Knowing from the size increase I knew it would be big enough for a family of four. Great car, great handling and great German engineering.

It Surprised Me

When I visited the VW dealer after considering the Honda CR-V and Nissan Rogue SV and Toyota RAV-4 I was pleasantly surprised how much I ended up enjoying the experience. A nice white Tiguan SEL was what I saw and as soon as I sat in the seat was taken by how it was as if they'd molded the seat to my back. Perfectly supporting me but not putting pressures on my legs as a CX-5 Mazda I previously took for a test drive. Took it out on the highway and the acceleration was considerably better than the Rogue. So was it quieter as well. The build quality and choice of materials for the interior was indeed German all the way....a good thing. Solid without a creak. The Infotainment system is so well thought out and the radio was superb let alone the plethora of customization provided for the Digital Dash. The super alloy rims and 19" Continental tires were also wonderful. The amazing array of safety features and that panoramic roof took me in. My wife's first comment when I drove it home was "can we take the seats inside"? A well thought out vehicle I feel is sold very short in many reviews.

My First VOLKSWAGEN ☮️❤️✌️

On November 1st I decided it was time to replace my 17 year old Chevy Avalanche (aka the Death Machine). It was time to climb out of the cave and discover the new world of vehicle technology, economy and comfort! I began my search by looking into Toyota, Honda and Mazda. I read online, then went and test drive the product at the dealerships. I received spec sheets and quotes for the ones I liked. I even Came as close as making a mistake and taking delivery on a RAV4 that I decided wasn’t right for me. I then spoke to a Tiguan owner who was extremely happy and satisfied with his 2018 Tiguan. I began my search online and then in the dealerships. Let me point out that I have driven full-size vehicles all my life. I am currently 6’2” tall and 270 lbs. My physical space and comfort is very important, but I do not want to sacrifice my rear passenger legroom. Simplicity of the interior design and the exterior was also very appealing to me. Driving the Tiguan is fun! I know the 4Turbo engine isn’t the quickest on the road, but I didn’t buy it for quickness. Handling is nice and responsive. Transmission shifts effortlessly Braking is smooth. The technology and electronics have taken a bit of time to learn, but the folks at the dealership have been there to answer my questions and even show me what to do. The 2020 Tiguan I bought on New Years Eve (12/31/2019). It has been a joy to drive especially with the roof open and my tunes playing. Life is good in a Tiguan!☮️❤️✌️

Don't believe negative reviews! Drive one!

Euro design is evident when you sit in the cockpit and hear the sound of the door closing .. a solid THUNK. Compared to other vehicles in its class priced in the high $20's (SE model) it feels like your getting more bang for your buck.
