overall wasn't worth it for long term
I loved my Tiguan but with only a little over 100k miles it consistently broke down or leaked oil or coolant. When it would work well i absolutely loved the size, interior and drive and would have loved to keep it but it wasn't worth the maintenance for me.
A great first car for me, I like SUV's
This car meet all my needs, I wanted a back up camera, leather seats, air condition, tinted windows and a nice stereo. Stereo was even upgraded.
nice car
I like it so far but small to be a family car. I had it for 7 years and love it until my I need to put bikes on my SUV LOL
Love my VW
I had the most wonderful luck with my 2003 Passat 4motion W8 wagon. When it was destroyed by a misguided deer I was very sad. Then I drive the Tiguan. And I am once again happy. Handles great here in blustery Minnesota. Goes through mud, water, snow, ice, you name it Fun to drive zippy little car. Comfortable. Great accessibility for all the gadgets. Back seats adjust for passengers. Fold flat for me to haul all kinds of cargo. Can fit 600# of feed! Roof rack for extra space when needed. Heated cloth seats are great. Panoramic sunroof is fun. Low 20s for mpg not great but acceptable given the year. Maintenance is higher but in my past experience equates this to longevity so I'm willing to take it as it comes Drive one. Buy one.
Very reliable.holds well on the road.
Best car ive driven its spacious.very comfortable.holds well on the road.drives and holds well in the snow.gas mileage is good.just an overall good vehicle.wish it jad am aux though.
Good start
Recently purchased and am impressed with interior space. I can fit 3 car seats and still have comfortable space for adults and everyone needed leg room. It’s a smooth ride and has ideal trunk space for family need. After lacking a car it is a great place to start back for a family that has been needing.
I just turned it in for something else. Terrible
It's cute and roomy but it was consistently in the mechanics for one thing or another. I bought it cash and it was the worst purchase I ever made. Mechsnucsl and electrical issues galore! The replacement parts are expensive. Not worth it!!!
Exactly what we are looking for
This car is exactly what we were looking for, great leg room and ample space for hauling small household goods. Great for transporting the grandkids
DO NOT i REPEAT DO NOT BUY THIS CAR
The second VW I have owned and I should have learned from the first. I bought it used, low owners and under 100k miles and took it to the mechanic after I brought it because it didn't make the trip home because of the transmission. The mechanic said the turbocharger was dead, the engine was dead, and the transmission was also gone and they all needed to be replaced. All of the repairs would have cost me more than the car. The excact same thing happened to my VW Beetle which was the whole reason behind me buying another car. If you don't believe me do your research, but I would never want someone to go through the headache I just did.
Expensive car to maintain but fun and reliable
The Volkswagen Tiguan is very comfortable and roomy and had a great panoramic moonroof. I did not get very good gas mileage and only took premium gas which is very expensive where I am from. Beware if anything breaks on it because you will spend an arm and a leg on labor and parts.
