2020 Toyota Camry review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2020 Toyota Camry?

The five-seat Toyota Camry is a bestselling mid-size sedan with a standard 203-horsepower, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an available 301-hp, 3.5-liter V-6. Both engines work with an eight-speed automatic transmission. A hybrid model that gets up to 52 mpg combined is also available. Competitors include the Honda Accord, Mazda6 and Nissan Altima.

What’s New on the 2020 Toyota Camry?

Redesigned for 2018, changes to the Camry have been incremental ever since. Android Auto smartphone connectivity is now standard, following the addition of Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa last year. Also new this year is a performance-oriented TRD trim level, which combines the optional V-6 engine with a lower ride height, firmer suspension, larger brakes, 19-inch summer tires and other upgrades. All-wheel drive is newly available, too.

What Features in the 2020 Toyota Camry Are Most Important?

Standard Toyota Safety Sense P, a suite of advanced driver-assistance systems, includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning with steering assist, automatic high-beam headlights and automatic emergency braking. Seven trims let the Camry be everything from basic family transportation to a sporty or near-luxury sedan, while the fuel-sipping hybrid version should appeal to eco-conscious shoppers. The SE, XSE and new TRD trim levels have sportier design cues, including available 19-inch black wheels, a trunk lid spoiler and different rocker panels and front and rear bumpers.

2020 Toyota Camry Vs. 2020 Honda Accord: How Do They Compare?

The Camry and Accord are both excellent choices among mid-size family sedans, with spacious and comfortable interiors and lots of standard safety and convenience features. Both offer fuel-saving hybrid powertrains, although only the Camry still offers a gas V-6 engine. In our most recent mid-size sedan comparison test, the Accord beat the Camry thanks in part to its appealing ride and handling balance and a handsome, well-made cabin. But the Camry’s child-safety seat accommodations are better.

Should I Buy the 2020 Toyota Camry?

It’s a bestseller for a reason: comfort, reliability and value. The 2018 redesign significantly improved the driving experience, and when you add its standard safety features, upgraded multimedia system and sleek style inside and out, you have an impressive family car.

my experience on the 2020 camry and why do i like

It is for sure way better than the ravf. it has very nice interior and shape. really nice reliability and it is quite spacious in my opinion. it has fair power and fair speed to be honest. the whole design is so cool that I can't think of anything else to buy. the price is also worth it since it is so good!

I love my 2020 Camry!!

I am absolutely happy with my 2020 Camry!! I went to Toyota of Woodbridge to see what, if anything they could do for me. I had an older model Corolla to trade. They Nadir (salesperson) and Brandon (business manager) made a sweet deal for me. Trade-in amount was awesome, monthly payment was unbelievably awesome!! My Camry rides great and looks great!! I would strongly recommend this year and model!! Please make Toyota of Woodbridge your 1st stop when shopping for a Toyota. You won't be sorry. They are friendly and professional.

It’s a Toyota! Well balanced-stylish sedan.

Originally traded my 2012 Honda Civic for a 2019 Camry LE. Great car that lasted me a few years until I came across the 2020 Camry SE Nightshade which blew my mind. Bought it with the odometer at 30k miles. What can I say? It’s a typical reliable Camry but with the SE nightshade trim it’s a great styling leap ahead far from the bare bones basics. Just hit 40k miles and I have not had any issues whatsoever. If you prefer the v6 engine option and more to offer as far as tech/comfort go for the XLE/XSE trims. Planning to keep this one !
