Unbelievable POWER 5.7 but exhaust manifold bolts

2018 Bighorn 4x4 Awesome POWER with 5.7 V8. Truck feels much bigger than it is. Amazing huge room for back seat passengers. I bought it @100k miles and it looked BRAND NEW. Right after purchase exhaust manifold bolts started breaking. Then I learned this has been an issue since 2003. Only permanent fix from other owners that seems viable is to replace the OEM cast iron manifolds with shorty headers. Issues with shorty headers tho would be cracked welds unless I buy AFE shorty headers that cost $900 Because AFE has the design thats made right. Just bad cast iron design it seems that isn't a priority to fix or the bolts are not large enough or of inferior alloy that doesn't allow enough stretch when under high heat thermal expansion from the cast iron manifold. Pulls a heavy offshore boat like a dream! Love the truck and unbelievable power and get 20mpg though. (14mpg while towing boat).

Will always own a ram

Just purchased my 18 ram 1500 ecodiesel. So far absolutely love this truck. Traded in my 2013 ram which had 160,000 miles and was running like a champ. I have nothing bad to say about ram trucks. They have done very good by me.

shaking

had this shaking problems in seats and console since about 60-days of owning this truck, a lot of shaking and vibration in seats, had tires and wheels rotated and balance 3-times also bought 3-sets of tires cause the dealership kept telling me it was in my tires and then wheels so I bought wheels also and now its even worse. dodge will not fix or try to find the problem

I’m a first time Ram truck owner in a lifetime.

I love it. This is my 50 vehicle I’ve purchased in a life time and love that I did. The Ram trucks are amazing and very dependable.

My first truck in 20 years . What a shock.

Great Truck so quiet. Rides smooth. Nothing like the old days. Lots of room. Storage space well planned. The second row of seat area is great for grandchildren .
