2020 Nissan Armada review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2020 Nissan Armada?

The 2020 Nissan Armada is a full-size SUV that seats up to eight people in three rows. It comes standard with a 390-horsepower, 5.6-liter V-8 engine and a seven-speed automatic transmission. It’s available with either rear- or four-wheel drive, and competitors include the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Ford Expedition and Toyota Sequoia.

What’s New on the 2020 Nissan Armada?

Heated side mirrors are now standard, and a newly available 22-inch wheel package features 14-spoke forged-aluminum wheels and all-season tires.

What Features in the 2020 Nissan Armada Are Most Important?

The Armada offers second-row captain’s chairs in place of a bench seat. The captain’s chairs decrease seating capacity from eight to seven. The Armada’s 8,500-pound maximum towing capacity should be able to handle most trailers a family will want to pull.

Premium available features include a power liftgate, a dual-screen rear entertainment system, a power-adjustable steering column, a 360-degree camera system and a power-folding third-row seat. Forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking are standard, and active safety options include blind spot warning and lane departure warning.

Should I Buy the 2020 Nissan Armada?

The Armada delivers a commanding driving position and roomy second row, but like some other non-long-wheelbase full-size SUVs, its third-row seat is snug and there’s not a lot of cargo room behind it. It also takes a big lift to clear the rear bumper when loading luggage.

Loving my new Armada

Still learning everything about it but love all the safety features. Great sound system and calling system. Has alot of get up and go and low road noise.

I think the vehicle is comfortable, which is what I was shopping for. Also size is great main issue is not worth the price, and not enough driver storage compartment space. No place to put your phone or other items. Wish it had wireless charging as well as wifi accessible.

This is an SUV. The V8 is so responsive.

I so glad we bought this suv. The comfort technology is outstanding.would recommend this vehicle to anyone. The dealership worked with us on a great price.
