Performance and Family Utility Perfection

Bought a 2 year 2017 GLE 43 lease-back with only 9000 miles. Cheap extended warranty for 6 years bumper-to-bumper due to the free extended 2 year warranty on the certified used. The balance of sport-muscle and grand elegance is amazing. At the time of purchase, I wouldn’t have anticipated such a lasting satisfaction after the initial rush... months owned with NO REGRETS. Despite being the most expensive vehicle I have ever purchased, this is the first time feeling completely satisfied with dealership, ownership and driving experience. I found the AMG tier completely worth stretching to achieve. Despite the need for a family mover, I wanted to maintain a dynamic and exciting drive and this car hasn’t disappointed at any level. My apologies for throwing so much praise out there, but for me, this vehicle completely deserves... I drove 4500 miles over 8 days on 2 loaded family trips and had the least post-travel fatigue I have ever experienced. Would like Head’s Up Display and some colour contrast on the seats, but outside those 2 wish-list items, not an ounce of lament or longing regarding this vehicle. Perfect balance of mature “king of the road” with youthful fun and “Hey look ma, I made it” feeling!

Excellent luxury SUV the best ride, fit and finish

I owned a 2017 Aura MDX/technology package and was disappointed with the vehicle overall minus the outside design was good. Again started investigating multiple luxury SUV reviews and owner testimonials and then KBB, Consumer Reports, etc. then started driving them. Not all the SUV's are a good fit. The Mercedes Benz AMG GLE43 was not too big or too small. The inside fit and finish and quality materials made the others look entry level at times, the large volume of adjustments the seating offers is impressive including the 4 massage features, quality of leather, heating and cooling seats, cup holders that also heat and cool your drinks, the adaptive cruise control that WORKS seamlessly (unlike Acura) the great OEM GPS or Google Map (from Apple Car play) that does not cost you extra like Audi does or horrible 1980's GPS technology Acura offers, the handling and performance of the twin turbo does impress and keep you smiling, the inside and outside of the vehicle acknowledges that these engineers know and understand quality! Plus the towing capacity is top of its class. It cost about the same as the other vehicles in the luxury category but if you want a vehicle you will look forward to driving and admire, look at the AMG GLE 43. Additionally based on car repair web sites this is the top of the German manufacturers regarding reliability and lower cost of ownership. Drove the Lexus RX's F-type (hated the front design) seemed too small inside and harsh ride, not impressed with fit and finish (plastic) inside or outside design, but the stereo sounded good. Seats keep you in place. Audi Q7 Prestige is a nice vehicle overall but a little too big. Then I read from existing owners the vehicle burns oil - keep oil in your vehicle if going on a long trip and the car does not offer a dip stick to verify? Even stated in the owners manual it will burn oil added because of class action lawsuit from owners, plus customer service is horrible based on reviews. BMW it came down to the harsh ride and not an impressive interior. While standing in the dealers lot they even joked about the smoke being generated from one of the BMW's exhaust kept the bugs away... bought the Certified Mercedes Benz AMG GLE 43 in South Carolina with low mileage (was a retiree) the car looks new and offers a better warranty then a new one. I can finally say "I LOVE MY VEHICLE and driving it again".
