What Is the 2019 Kia Soul?

The Kia Soul is a boxy compact hatchback with room for five people. It comes with front-wheel drive and a choice of three four-cylinder engines, including a turbocharged one. Three transmissions are available: a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. A battery-electric version with a 111-mile EPA-estimated driving range is offered in California and Oregon. Competitors include the Mini Countryman, Toyota C-HR and Nissan Kicks. A redesigned Soul debuts as a 2020 model.

What’s New on the 2019 Kia Soul?

Automatic headlights are now standard.

What Features in the 2019 Kia Soul Are Most Important?

Standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, variable-intermittent windshield wipers, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, Bluetooth and a 60/40-split, folding backseat.

Available features include heated side mirrors, a panoramic moonroof, cruise control, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, automatic air conditioning, navigation and a Harman Kardon premium stereo. Available active safety features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert.

Should I Buy the 2019 Kia Soul?

The Soul and Soul EV have been redesigned for the 2020 model year and hit dealerships in spring 2019. But if you’re looking for deals, you should be able to find them on leftover 2019 Souls still on dealer lots.

Loves the car

Very impressed with this soul. It is roomy and a good ride for a small car. Traded a base soul and this time purchased top of the line. It’s pretty.

Before buying a Kia soul know why they shut off.

The battery life of this car has to be extremely great. They use a battery shut off and on when the gas pedal is let go and it seems to jerk when stepped on again. Be cautious.
