Quality car at affordable price.

We purchased a 2024 Jeep Compass Limited Elite. This vehicle has far surpassed our expectations for comfort, handling, road noise and quality. There is very little road noise we hear inside the vehicle, and this allows us to keep the radio turned down to a comfortable level. Handling is exceptional and very responsive. The driver safety features of lane guidance, adaptive cruise control (my favorite) and 360-degree backup camera are now features we will not go without after experiencing first hand performance. Thank you Jeep and Jeff Belzer CDJR of New Prague, MN

2024 Jeep Compass review: Our expert's take

What Is the 2024 Jeep Compass?

The Jeep Compass is a five-seat compact SUV that competes with rivals like the Ford Bronco Sport, Subaru Forester and Toyota RAV4. All Compass trims — of which there are eight — come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 200 horsepower and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is standard across the board. An available Trailhawk trim delivers exceptional off-road capabilities.

What’s New on the 2024 Jeep Compass?

After a refresh for the 2022 model year and a new turbo four-cylinder engine for 2023, the Compass is little changed for 2024. The front grille insert treatment has been updated, and new wheel designs are available.

What Features in the 2024 Jeep Compass Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Satellite radio
  • Three USB ports
  • Wi-Fi hot spot
  • Keyless entry
  • Dual-zone automatic climate control
  • Blind spot warning
  • Rear cross-traffic alert
  • Lane departure steering assist
  • Driver drowsiness monitor
  • Rear-seat reminder

Available features include:

  • 25-inch digital instrument display
  • Wireless device charging
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Leather upholstery
  • Heated and ventilated front seats
  • Automatic high-beam headlights
  • Hands-free power liftgate
  • Front and rear parking sensors
  • Hill descent control
  • Front and rear tow hooks
  • Amazon Alexa

Should I Buy the 2024 Jeep Compass?

The 2024 Jeep Compass has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its intuitive infotainment system, all-terrain capability and lengthy roster of standard active-safety features. The problem is the Compass competes in the five-seat compact SUV arena, where it faces a wide range of competitors that excel when it comes to engine refinement, cargo space, steering agility and ride comfort. While few of its rivals can match the Compass when the road ahead is rocky or muddy, this Jeep gets pretty expensive when you start climbing to higher trims.
