  • I'd give this car a 5 start rating if:

It had cvt transmission, easy way to update infotainment software, separate switch for daylights and better acceleration. Above you can read what I don't like, but in general it's a well designed good looking car, in terms of performance I think this car needs more work, I'm sure newer models will be better. In terms of mileage, it's a great car, I did 66 miles per gallon a couple of times going to Virginia from Westchester NY (round trip).

  • MPG, Reliability, Usability, best I've ever owned.

Predicted 55 mpg-I rarely get that few. Usually 55-65 mpg. When I check mpg I use same pump and same cut off. I use non ethanol gas as much as possible and add Marvel Mystery Oil to each fill. I service regularly with reliable and qualified mechanic. Full synthetic oil. I have had no mechanical issues or quirky occurances. Features included on SEL as standard are options on Hondas & Toyotas. And I paid less to start with. Yes, there is a slight hesitation off the line, but I anticipate that. Every car has something that in someone's mind exempts it from perfection. I am a regular Consumers Report reader and I think they have done this car a disservice by not recommending it. I owned a Prius and I'll take the Ioniq over the Prius. I have owned several Hondas and Toyotas and prefer looking to Hyundai first in pursuing my next vehicle. I also own a Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited and it is an excellent car for mpg, reliability, usability, and outstanding comfort and features.

  • Great car to own and drive

Gas mileage...50 + mpg, while this isn't a sports car, handling and pickup is definitely better than expected. Car is quiet, dependable , looks good. Definitely worth the money. Yes, I would buy it again.

  • Ironic Ioniq

I simply love driving this car. It performs well both on the highway as well as city driving, and as a hybrid, the gas mileage is unbeatable.

  • the car is very good.

self-driving for 15 seconds, gives a great future car. There are some flaws like that, the driver's seat is not comfortable, electric seat adjustment does not have the ability to remember the driver's position! on the rear window there is no janitor, and he just needed to rain, and most importantly for the sake of what's cool, the car DOES NOT WORK it is fuel consumption. 6.5 liters per 100km. Where the promised 4l. 100 km?!

  • By far my favorite car

I have owned many vehicles in my life, this is the best. Roomy, fun to drive, all the bells and whistles, at a great price. Far better the the Prius, which I have owned. Unbelievable fuel mileage. Don't pass the Ioniq by. It's a a fabulous car..

  • Very happy after 5000 miles

I got a great deal on my Ionic and have loved driving it every mile I have had it. I find it does everything well and gets great mileage. It is not a sports car - that is not why it was designed - but in sports mode has some nice pep. The car is comfortable for me, has plenty of room and smooth ride and gets great mileage.

  • Most fuel efficient car I have owned.

Good ride. Good styling. Computer gives higher mpg than actual. Good features: USB outlets, tire pressure for each tire. Good cargo capacity. Change from gas to EV not really noticeable.

  • Couldn't be happier

I purchased this car about 3 months ago (mid April) with about 15K miles on it - I had my eye on it for almost a month and am honestly a little surprised it stayed on the let that long. Having driven it about 2,500 miles since purchase, I absolutely love this car. Great features, very comfortable (might be a squeeze in the back for taller people), rides well, great looks, awesome storage, and unbeleivable fuel economy. (I have the limited version with the ultimate package). The biggest things for me are the feel the features and the fuel economy: 1 - Feel: I was a little apprehensive on how the car would feel to drive being a hybrid, but the ride and feel is sublime. Quick steering, somewhat firm suspension so you can feel the road but still comfortable. 2 - Features: As a I said, I have the limited model with the ultimate package, so it comes with all the bells and whistles; lane departure warning, lane change warning, smart cruise control, turning headlights, collision warning, etc. Was not expecting all of these features in this car for this price! 3 - Fuel economy: the limited is rated for 55/54 mpg. However, I have found it fairly easy to reach 60 mpg! I would say driving normally I get around 56 or 57 mpg. To get 60 mpg I have to accelerate slower and stay in the right lane while doing so - once I get going I will drive the same speed as everyone else. Extremely happy with this car and hope to have it for a long time!
