Buick is one of four General Motors brands in the U.S.; the others are Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC. While Buick has a reputation for attracting older buyers, a recent emphasis on SUVs over sedans has brought down the average buyer's age considerably. Buicks generally offer a more premium experience than a comparably sized Chevrolet, while Cadillac serves a more traditional luxury audience.
The three-row Enclave SUV sparked Buick’s resurgence, but smaller SUVs including the subcompact Encore, slightly larger Encore GX and compact Envision now populate the lineup, too, filling a role that would have been held by traditional sedans in years past.
