Incredible Ride

I've owned a BMW Z3 2.8 L - it is truly one of the best balanced cars I've ever driven. It can take corners at speed as if it is on rails. The 6 cylinder engine sounds like no other. The power and torque curve are continual and strong. Maintaining an older Z3 is very easy. Top mounted oil filter element and plenty of room to work in the engine bay.

Purchased New

Wife’s second car, driven sparingly, garage kept, fun car to drive, 5 speed manual, 23,477 original miles. We have gotten old and it is a young person’s car.

Emaculate Engine Condition, easy manuvuer,Sporty

This Z3 is a well maintained by mature owner when I bought it in 2004, I put extra care of engine and scheduled maintenances, it needs a new canvas top; you can buy generic canvas top at the cost of $350 online. Excellent for pleasure driving BMW Z3 along the coastline of California with the roof top off.

Best value car I've ever owned

I have owned a 97' Z3 2.8i roadster for 3 years now and have loved every second of my experience. I have never had any serious maintenance problems with the car, and it was always gotten me where I needed to go. It is a blast to take corners in, it's quick, it's everything you want from a roadster. The only thing I wish it had was a little more power. It's certainly not a slug, but it doesn't put you back in your seat like a muscle car will. For being a cheaper version of the M class (and costing about half the insurance as an M) this car brings the most value for your dollar you can get.

Cool car. Rough for long drives.

Gets attention on the road! Very cool ride! Bought new and it’s still in great shape. Dashboards leather is peeling up but can’t find anyone to fix it.

One of the best roadsters in it's day

I bought this car new back in 1997 and had to wait nine months to get it. What a fun car to drive. It was a beautiful dark green with a khaki interior. It had very few bells and whistles which made it a joy to drive. The manual top was easy to throw back and raise up. The car handled like a dream and the manual transmission was superb. BMW really had something with this car. It was an ultimate driving machine, especially compared to the cars BMW is making and selling now. I would buy this car all over again if it was still offered; however, they are hard to find these days, especially one in good condition. The exterior design was spot on, especially compared to the slab sided Z4 that replaced it.
