What Is the 2023 BMW 8 Series?

The BMW 8 Series is a high-end luxury car offered in three body styles — coupe, convertible and four-door Gran Coupe — with seating for four or five, depending on body style. The 840i is powered by a 335-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine, while the M850i and M8 variants get turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8s rated at 523 and 617 hp, respectively. The Alpina B8 Gran Coupe has a 612-hp, turbo 4.4-liter V-8.

An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard, and rear- and all-wheel-drive models are available. Competitors include the Jaguar F-Type, Lexus LC 500 and Porsche Panamera.

What’s New on the 2023 BMW 8 Series?

The 8 Series line gets a subtle styling refresh that includes an illuminated grille and minor trim alterations. Inside, a 12.3-inch touchscreen replaces the previous 10.25-inch screen.

What Features in the 2023 BMW 8 Series Are Most Important?

Standard features include:

  • Leather upholstery
  • Digital instrument panel
  • 3-inch multimedia screen
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity
  • Harman Kardon surround-sound system
  • Satellite radio
  • Forward collision warning
  • City collision mitigation

Should I Buy the 2023 BMW 8 Series?

If you’re in the market for a luxurious European sedan that’s a bit more stylish than a BMW 7 Series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the 8 Series Gran Coupe is worth a look. Coupe and convertible variants are sportier still, and that’s not counting the high-performance M8. Whichever model you choose, you’ll get a premium grand tourer that can be packed with technology.

Amazing !!!!!

I have driven many BMW’s but this one surpasses them. Not only does it have an amazing look but the feel and sound of a V8 is no comparison. I can leave it in comfort mode and relax or put in Sport and everything changes. I hope BMW leaves this one alone along with the M5 and not make into the electric garbage with these horrible grills.

2023 BMW 850i - INCREDIBLE !

I had owned a used BMW650i for 10 years and love the car for the look, size, performance and value. I decided to finally upgrade to a new 2023 BMW 850i. The car is incredible. The Horsepower is outstanding and the car drives like a machine. It has power, handling, and is sporty but you still feel like you have a full car you are driving.
