Original M2 is best BMW
Getting an M2 is an easy decision. The harder part is deciding between an original M2 and a newer M2 Competition. They are both great but very different cars. M2 Competition has more power, but also a lot more weight. It drives like a little M4, The original M2 is much lighter and drives like an early 30's or 40's series M3. As far as the engine, it's not a normal N55, it is a highly modied one, the best N55 ever -- runs and sounds fantastic. Contrast that with the S55 in the M2 Competition, which is the most de-tuned version of that fine engine that you can get. Bottom line -- get an original M2, ideally a 2018 with the updated electronics, lights and dash!
Best fun drive
Best fun drive, capable as a daily drive and as a weekend ride. Very rare in the market, blue and stick shift. Very spacious and powerful for a compact car like this.
The most fun car I've ever driven
Now I understand why BMW is the Ultimate Driving Machine. I've owned a 525, 328, 550I and now the M2. The M2 is so much fun to drive. After almost 2 years of driving this car, I get compliments every day on my car. The color, Pacific Coral Blue is unlike another. And with the DCT, I really get to feel the 386 HP when shifting. In sport mode, the deep throttle is awesome! A recommended car for expert or novice driver.
The Best Combination of Performance, Practicality
Just an all-around fun car to drive, but still has the space and the comfort to be a daily driver. And it never fails to bring a smile to your face when you get onto an unoccupied segment of twisty road.
Best car ever
The M2 performs in every sense of the word. For the smile it puts on my face every time I get behind the wheel, I readily forgive whatever else I might have sought in a car. It’s not the least expensive, it’s not the quietist, nor is it the car with the roomiest interior I have ever owned. But who the h— cares!?
good bmw
This champion 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline-6 Cylinder delivers 405 horsepower, redlines at 7,600 rpms, and adds an extra punch of power with two turbochargers. The result is a screaming symphony of metal in motion that crescendos from 0-60 in only 4.2 seconds.
A Gentleman's Sports Car
This car is just simply fantastic. It's so taut, nimble, and comfortable. Rarely do you find a car where after 5 minutes you are like "I get it". This is a special car. I know it sounds cliche but you really do feel like "one with the car". It's surprisingly a surprisingly comfortable ride for what it is (a performance car). I mean don't get me wrong a 7 Series is a better cruiser no doubt, this rides better than I thought and it's just really well assembled. And that sound....oh I just look for tunnels so I can rev it. BMW - you nailed it with this one. It's a fantastic car and and even better value for the $. I can't lavish enough praise on this car. I can see why the car magazines all did the same.
Fastest car ever owned
Ride is a little hard but other than that can't find any other faults. Can be driven normally, can be driven spirited when the need is there. There's a 1200mi break in window, no hard stops, never exceeding 5500rpms in that time frame. Car's taken back at 1200mi to the dealer who will check for any problems, change the oil, and transmission fluid too at no cost. My m2's still in the break in mode can't give any more details.
Most entertaining vehicle I?ve ever owned
This car has the perfect dimensions. I?ve had them all - M3, M4, M5, M6, 911, corvettes Z06, 3 series convertible, 5 series, and this M2 is by far my favorite
Pretty Awesome
Not really much to say, everything you've heard about the car is true. It's a drivers car through and through. It's a bit firm on the ride, but that's only an issue on bad roads. Average to new roads the car is a dream, even for commuting.
