2016 Audi A7 review: Our expert's take

Vehicle Overview

The Audi A7 is a large four-door hatchback conceived along the same lines as BMW’s 5 Series Gran Turismo. It combines a coupelike profile with the comfort of a sedan and the practicality of a station wagon, Audi says. The A7 slots between the A6 and A8 sedans in Audi’s lineup, and competitors include the 5 Series GT and Porsche Panamera.

The A7 comes with a choice of a supercharged gas or turbocharged diesel V-6 engine, both with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Performance variants of the A7 are available as the S7 and RS 7, and are powered by turbocharged V-8 engines.

Audi A7

Audi has done a remarkable jobs with their cars every since 2012. Their cars are very sleek and smooth to drive (better than BMW which I used to own and sometimes better than Mercedes as well). Audi's have been very reliable and the A7 feels very sporty while still being very smooth and I like this better than Mercedes' CLS competitor.
