Decided to leave this review, I have read lots of horror stories on Google/Reddit about bad car dealers and seen enough advice videos on YouTube on how to deal with slimy car dealers that you start believing there aren’t any good dealers out there. Now I cannot vouch for everyone, but I can say my experience with Alexandria Hyundai was pleasant and professional. I had been looking for a Certified Hyundai Palisade for a while which was less than 2 years old with less than 20K miles and I found one listed at Alexandria Hyundai. It was a 2024 with ~13K miles. The listed price was very close to what I would consider fair and within my budget. I emailed their Certified Pre-Owned team and was surprised to receive a quick response. Interestingly there was no attempt to force me into a phone call. They at no point asked me my phone number and ware happy to answer my questions and then provide a "out the door" price (After I had provided some of my details for them to calculate TAX/Registration etc.). I would like to point out that my search was extended 200Mile from my zip code and Alexandria Hyundai was on the edge of that 200 Miles. I am based in NJ and they are in VA. The quote they provided had no surprise additional costs, just the Price of the Car as on the website, TAX, Title/Registration and Documentation fees. They indicated they were not looking to haggle, but they were only slightly of the number I was looking for. I let them know that I was very motivated to close the deal, and they did move slightly to meet my budget. Their prices don't leave a lot of room for haggling, which is always good. I wanted to be certain that they would be honoring this quote as I needed to travel 200Mile to pick up the car and they confirm that, and they did honor it !! :) I ended up using my own financing, they tried to get me a better number, but my Credit Union had pre-approved me for a better rate. Here too I would like to point out, there were no pressure tactics; no last minute pressure to buy expensive extended warranty. An extended warranty was offered to me, but it was entirely my choice. Overall, I would say to some extent my faith in humanity is restored (At least I have utmost faith in Alexandria Hyundai). I would personally like to thank Eduardo Pozo who was patient with me and answered all my questions and was always quick to respond on email. I would also like to thank Peter Kim (Finance Manager) who helped me close the deal and had me out of the dealership in under 2 hrs. on a rainy Saturday. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alexandria Hyundai and their team!!

Absolutely terrible unresponsive service department.
Absolutely terrible unresponsive service department. I have a newer Santa Fe which inexplicably has h to e engine light on. After 3 service appointments, they still have not fixed it. And they are 100% completely unresponsive - almost impossible to talk to a person so end up with hours of endless tries with voice mails and texts. Wish I did not buy a Hyundai given this situation which apparently has been an issue for a while given all the terrible online reviews. Better alternatives out there.

Go Alexandria Hyundai! Great service and staff.
These reviews are so surprising. It seems the newer cars are treated better than the older models, which is not good. I bought my Accent at Alexandria Hyundai, used, but not serioiusly (4,000) miles. Each appointment was different as far as customer service. Sometimes it was ready early, sometimes much later than promised, and other times right on time. The trick is not to leave a message with the receptionist or someone else in maintenance. Go right to the dealership manager. If they are not available right then, ask again and again to see the manager until you see them. Remember this is Covid-19 season. All services are delayed or forgotten from time to time. Services are overbooked and tempers are frayed. As far as MY Accent? Everything was taken care of, I got phone calls, the manager was so helpful and I will be replacing my Accent within the year for a newer model. I bought my beautiful 2007 light blue car with 4,000 miles. I now have 104,044 miles and the car runs like a champ! I've gotten major, expected repairs done on time and oil changes faithfully.. Don't give up on Alexandria Hyundai. Just know who to talk to. Like any other business. You'll get more accomplished with the Managers. If not, change dealers - just make sure to give them a chance to make it better. Happy New Year!

Service department is HORRIBLE
I recently bought a brand new car from Alexandria Hyundai off Mount Vernon. Let me start off by Mike was an amazing salesman. I would definitely buy another car from him in the future. The car overheated in traffic after having it 13 days. The engine auto on/off feature wouldn't work because it it overheating. Brought it back to dealer because obviously this isn't normal. The sales manager informed me I would be out almost $8000 if I traded it in. Obviously this wasn't an option so I let the service dept fix it. The service dept has had it 10 days. They repeatedly don't answer phone calls on a minimum of 5 days calling constantly. Just an automated voice telling you they are busy and goodbye. The only update I've gotten is after I've taken off work and sat infront of them and demanded someone talk to me. They kept the car for 10 days and informed me that Gerald. The service manager would be driving my car for 4 to 5 days (to work, home, errands,, etc) to "drive it around and try to replicate the issue". THE CAR HAS BEEN DRIVEN 8 MILES. Informed me today (11 days later) that there is nothing wrong with the car but they would keep the car indefinitely until they could replicate it overheating. But they won't be driving it in interstate rush hour traffic. Because "There is no need for that." Needless to say I took my car back and will be taking it somewhere else ABSOLUTE WORSE SERVICE DEPARTMENT I'VE HAD TO DEAL WITH IN OVER 30 YEARS.

Troy is the best
We’ve been using Hyundai Alexandria for awhile now and Troy is the best. He is honest, accurate, thorough, and great with customer service. He makes sure to explain everything going on with the car, asks for permission before doing anything outside of traditional services if they’re required, and is up front about cost, need for a service, etc. He’s the best and we look forward to working with him again.

Repair for my Sonata
I had an appointment Feb 8 at 8:30 A.M. I dropped my car off the night before. I called at 10:30 A.M. to check on the status. I was then informed that people that were waiting on their cars was more of a priority. If I'd known that, I would have waited for mine. Nevertheless , they called back around noon and told me what was needed and how much it would be. In addition, they said my car would be ready later in the afternoon. Around 6 PM I called Eric and didn't get an answer. I figured that he had left for the day. I would have gone in to check on it, but I didn't have transportation. Feb 9, I called Eric, no answer again. I called the receptionist and she said she would have the tech give me a call. I waited about an hour, still no phone call. I took an Uber there. Eric told me to have a seat in the lounge and wait. I was furious, they have had my car overnight, no one called to tell me anything. And now I still have to wait, this was the xxxx poor customer service! The least Eric/Tech could have done was called to say they would have to keep my car overnight or it's taking longer than expected. This let me know never to drop off my car and again and it was useless to have an appointment. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but it's worthwhile this one time. I spent $848 and got treated this way, which is totally unacceptable!! A simple phone call would have avoided this and NO I will not recommend to a friend!!!
Repair for my Sonata

2019 Hyundai Elantra - New Car Purchase
Last year we purchased our Hyundai Elantra from this dealership. We worked with Dan Heo and Jae Lee. Our experience was top notch. The dealership gave us a great price and then there was no change. We were from Richmond and they worked with us and our financing company to complete the transaction. If I ever buy a Hyundai then it will be with Alexandria Hyundai and with same guys. We are very happy with our car. Awesome team at Alexandria Hyundai. 👍👍👍👍
2019 Hyundai Elantra - New Car Purchase
Last year we purchased our Hyundai Elantra from this dealership. We worked with Dan Heo and Jae Lee. Our experience was top notch. The dealership gave us a great price and then there was no change. I bought a brand new hyundai santa fe. I really love this car and love the experience with Alexandria Hyundai. All of the staffs including my salesperson Dan Heo and all other managers helped me very well throughout the entire buying process. The process was extremely easy and transparent. There were no hidden fees and didn't try to play a game trying to negotiate the prices I was promised. It was not like other dealerships holding you in the dealership all day long and still charge you with unknown fees. Especially, my salesperson was very helpful in terms of getting ready for all the info and documents that are needed ahead of the time, which eventually saved a lot of time spent in the dealership. The whole experience was very pleasant and hassle free. If you are finding a great and easy to work dealership, I definitely recommend Alexandria Hyundai.

I bought a brand new hyundai santa fe. I really love this car and love the experience with Alexandria Hyundai.
