We purchased four vehicles from Don Beyer Volvo after 2001. Great service and easy to purchase for fair price. We often recommend potential buyers and... current Volvo owners to consider Don Beyer of Dulles -- even though dealership is 30 minutes more of a drive from the two nearest Volvo dealerships near our Fairfax home. Worth the drive!
After multiple epic failed attempts to work through our local Volvo dealer to find a used XC60 with the features I required I finally decided to broaden... my search. After identifying the car at Don Beyer I placed a deposit down. Problem was the car was in transit. Due to holiday and other challenges it took a bit longer than normal for the car to arrive. The sales manager and representatives were very communicative and when the car did come in they informed me right away - they also sent many photos at my request. I took a flight to Dulles and the salesperson I was working with pick me up in my new car. Most of the paperwork was ready to go before I even stepped into the showroom. I was treated with genuine respect and kindness. This is what buying a Volvo is supposed to feel like. I’d buy our next one there too!
Long story short, I purchased my XC90 from here and negotiated an aftermarket add on. They didn't do it correctly and ultimately ended up messing up my... paint. I called and called and called each time leaving messages for a "Manager" (to include the GM) that was either always busy or conveniently out of the office and never heard back. Ended up going to Volvo customer service who made them call me. When they finally called and we took the truck out there, they tried to tell me the issue wasn't their fault b/c the truck wasn't assembled correctly. They then took it in to repair it and gave us a timeframe for when it would be ready then called two days later at 4 PM telling us to return the loaner that day. Now keep in mind, each time they called me, they only wanted to speak to my husbad... I know this because the Volvo ticket was opened with my cell phone number and so was the service tickect. When I finally spoke with a Manager (this was the guy who couldn't admit they screwed up to begin with and blamed Volvo) he said he would call back to confirm what the issue was and if it were covered under warranty...to date, I haven't heard from or seen him since I dropped off my truck! Customer Service here is THE WORST and this dealership clearly should not be apart of the VOLVO family. By looking at the place, it is evident they put their money into making the showroom look good instead of hiring employees who possess above average customer service skills. I wish I could give this place zero stars but the sysmem won'tet me.
Very nice building and friendly, professional approach to car sales. Let the vehicle sell itself. Matched another dealer's price. All the staff.... from... sales, to finance, to the Manager were all great people. And Joe's cookies sealed the deal! One of the best car buying experiences I have had...(probably my 20th new car/truck). Overall would highly recommend the Dealer and the Volvo XC 60 I bought.

Our buying experience 3 years ago was so easy and low pressure. Since then I’ve had all my xc90’s repairs done at Don Buyer Volvo and it’s been excellent... service! Loaners always available and staff is very professional.
