I've been a Stohlman Sterling customer since 2010 and
I've been a Stohlman Sterling customer since 2010 and purchased 5 cars from them. I always had my Subarus serviced there too. I have always had great experiences with the Stohlman team and highly recommend this dealership and the Subaru brand.

The issue is not with sales but with finance, who did not
The issue is not with sales but with finance, who did not honor his word. Prior to buying, I query on the payment options. Personal check was offered as an option and they stated they can provide a few days (in this case 4 business days) to allow time to complete transferring funds. They cashed the check after 1 business day. It is fortunate that the transfer did complete within one business day but if it did not then this would have been a bounced check and would affect the credit rating. This is a "dick" move or just incompetent people that can hurt the customers financially. As they cannot keep their word and this situation has financial impact, I cannot recommend Stohlman Subaru of Sterling or Subaru for the following reason: * Potentially financial impact can be devastating to the buyer. * Cannot keep their word. * Due to the above, make one wondering what else they blunder. What makes this worst, this is a finance person who seems to not care or does not seem to understand the financial impact with this action. There was also no apologies from their management when I informed them of the situation. Their comment was similar to Office Space of they fix the problem.

The sales team from the salesperson to the Sales manager
The sales team from the salesperson to the Sales manager was professional, respectful, and customer-focused. The business manager and title section were not focused on the customer. Wish I had just asked to title the vehicle myself as they kept coming back stating there were additional fees to complete the transaction. I should have asked to see the breakdown. The DMV stated the cost for a new title/lien registration was $130 and in the end, the dealership charged over $300. I also felt that the numbers kept changing from what was presented to what was finalized. In the end, I also had to go to Suburu Corporate to ask for a rebate I identified but wasn't included in the final paperwork. I was so fed up with the team at the dealership I just wanted to get out of there and would rather deal with the corporate folks. Shame that the car buying process is still a pain. The business manager also wouldn't send updated temporary tags when the old ones expired. They waited until the official plates arrived even though I had contacted them a week before the temp tags expired and the sales person I worked with (A great person) tried to help me out, but all he good do was say he passed the request to the business manager. It forced me to drive around with expired temp tags for a week. I would look elsewhere for a dealership in the future.

Great experience! Mark Doyle, my salesman was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. I'm sorry don't remember everyone's name but the gentleman who set up our financing to the one who went over all the settings for my new purchase was amazing. The support has been wonderful. Thank you!
