Drove three and a half hours to purchase a vehicle I was told was being held for me with no deposit required. 40 minutes from the dealership and I get... a call saying someone just walked in to buy it and there was nothing they could do about it.
We tried very hard to make a deal. My review is not based on the fact that we could not come to an agreement on price, it is due to the fact that the sales... manager used very shady practices in his negotiations with my husband and I. On Saturday December 6, 2019 we went to the dealership and negotiated a price for a used 2019 pathfinder. We could not come to an agreement. My husband and I left and went on our way. Later that evening the sales manager called us and told us he agreed to our price of $22,000. We asked him $22,000 out the door, he said yes, we said great and we left the deposit he asked us to leave while we scheduled an appointment to return Monday to complete purchase. On Monday, my husband and I took time off work and went to the dealership to complete our transaction only to find that the contract was for $27,000 not $22,000. We asked what was going on and the sales manager said he thought the price was $22,000 plus the $5,000 we were putting down. WHY? WHO DOES THAT?? If we were discussing amounts to be financed I could see it, or even amount remaining, but "out the door price" was $22,000!? This was obviously a dishonest practice to get us back in the dealership. My husband and I got our deposit back and left immediately as trust is VERY important to us and that is NOT something that can be fostered when a dealership uses techniques like this. It is extremely unfortunate because the salesman was wonderful. Steve Simpson was straightforward and honest. He apologized as we left the second time as he did not know the price was being jacked up and he was a pleasure to deal with. The experience of dealing with the management of Nissan of Lexington Park was surprisingly devious and I want to warn folks. Luckily we did a lot of research and have negotiated prices at several places so we can just take the next best price which is a minimal difference, but if another person can avoid the aggravation they should! Stay away!
Went and looked at a car advertised at 14,999. test drove it , sales man comes back now adds 900.00 reconditioning used car fee, and then offered me... 100.00 trade on a car valued at 1500 trade in thru kbb.
We apologize for your recent experience and invite you in to discuss this so we can maintain or high customer service. Please let me know when a good ...time is for you. dj.diehl@nissanoflexingtonpark.com
Went in this week to look at a used car listed at 14,900. Took it for a test drive, enjoyed the car. We sit down and start going over all of the information.... Bottom line, I'm in the market for about a thousand cheaper. After waiting another ten minutes, they come back with five more items on top of it adding to the price. Then after talking that price, another ten minutes come and go and some manager comes in and says that the price is actually 20,500. Somehow there was a "human error" when listing at 14,9. He was unapologetic and quick to show the price, refuse to honor what was posted online AND hung in the car window and get up and leave. Two hours of life wasted on a company that is either completely incompetent or completely unethical. We wanted to do business with this dealership, but, we will do our business elsewhere. We'll be in the market for two new cars in the next 2-3 years, so ultimately, they are the ones getting hurt here.
We apologize for your experience, please let us know if there is anything we can do to rectify this.
Do not buy a used car from this dealership, once you buy the car you are screwed. I bought a used Dodge Challenger on February 12 2019 it is April 25... temporary plate expired April 12. My bank has no title and I can't drive the car. They owe me $1,500 return and charged my Visa card $1,000 and I purchased the car. Have been calling just about everyday and no results everything goes to voicemail can't talk to any body no return calls from salesmen , sales manager, General manager. Called corporate headquarters and filed complaints. They are bad news.
Update: After delivering the Challenger to West Virginia in a snow storm (5 hours away) This customer told us he changed his mind and decided to not p...urchase. We then lowered the price so he would consider it since we drove 5 hours as he requested. He has been made whole and does have his Challenger.
Inquired about a vehicle listed for $22,000, and went thru the whole process for a quote, then they pulled a bait and switch with a very rude attitude.... Telling me that the car was magically unavailable all the sudden, but that I could get one for $27,000. When I said I would pay the agreed amount for an identical car the manager said "I bet you would, that'll be $27,000 im not doing that price." Untrustworthy scam artists.
J where you ever in our store or did you call in?
Amazing Experience! Excellent Sales Team! Jamie and Tony were A++! I recommend this dealership. The buying experience was awesome! You become family! Go... see them and then them I sent you!!
Found a car they had for sale on Cars.Com, used the "contact dealer" button on the webpage. Within several minutes I had a email from the GM and the sales... associate Michael Wagner. Since I am 2 hours away, the entire process was handled via email, texts and phone calls. The deal was agreed upon and I made the trip up to MD. What a beautiful dealership! Everyone there was very cordial, friendly and professional. I have bought over 30 cars in my lifetime and this was by FAR the most pleasurable. I hate high pressure....and there was absolutely NONE here. Thank you again Michael and Chuck!
Put in an inquiry on a Friday called on Monday, receptionist sent me to voicemail. Called on Tuesday receptionist sent me to voicemail. Called on Wednesday... and spoke to a salesman that said he would get right back to me. Called Thursday to talk to the salesman directly. He was off that day. Took them a week to get back to me only to get offered a terrible deal. Salesman was terrible at math. Just got a car for my wife for the same cost and for some reason they are coming up $200 more per month. Don’t bother with this dealership
This is a sneaky dealership where bait and switch is standard practice. Low price to get you in the door but they will point out that it is your fault... for not reading the fine print at the bottom of the page. The advertised a car for $12,777. I e-mailed them and offered $12K cash no loan. The e-mailed me back and said they would meet me in that middle at $13.5. I told them they were moving in the wrong direction because $13.5 was not in the middle between $12,777 and $12,000. The told me that the car was actually much more. I sent them the link to autotrader.com and also to their own Website where the car was listed for $12,777. That it was my fault and I did not read the print at the bottom of the page. I just read the fine print. The fine print added another $1500 to the price of the car. I went back and checked and there is fine print of their Website but not on Autotrader. They are xxxx. It was my fault because I did not read the fine print. Sounds like the bankers with the housing crisis, "because people did not read the fine print."
