Professional service from VW Sales enthusiast, George Wahesh, from initial inquiry to drive off lot after purchase. Responded quickly to calls, answered... all questions without attitude, met all expectations during negotiations.
I am an out of state buyer and found this place on Cars.com. I was interested in a specific car they had listed on Cars.com and when I reached out everything... went down hill fast. The initial email communication was fine but when I started asking follow-up questions about the car in question everything changed for the worst. They ignored my questions about the car I was interested in and instead started sending me emails about their large selection of used and certified pre-owned cars (which I did not want) and then another email about end-of-year special discounts on CERTAIN new cars - none of which was the car I wanted. As someone else complained here - cheap bait-and-switch tactics! I complained a few times but I was ignored by the sales guy (Juan Torres) and the new car sales manager (Bill Brayer) - totally unacceptable! This place is the worst and I lost my patience. There is A TON of other VW dealers nationwide and I'm certain you can find one better than this one.
Had an easy time buying a new Crosstrek. Richard Kuenzler was a pleasure to work with, and I'm more than happy with the new car.
Congrats Don! Best of luck to you and your new Crosstrek!
Bait and switch tactics. Worst customer service. Spent hours there and wasted our time when they were so pushy and lied about the deal. They don’t care... about relationships and only care about their money. Read the BBB reviews and other reviews. There is a reason the reviews are mixed. Stay away from this place.

Sales person George “W” was great to deal with while shopping for my Subaru 2017 that I ended up purchasing from Stohlman. George actually works at the... Volkswagen dealership but was able to answer all my questions pertaining to the Subaru Forester I was interested in. The buying process was quick and stress free!
I was shopping for a car and got great help from Jason and the rest of the team. It was quick and professional. Thanks, Eran
We appreciate you business and your willingness to share your experience.
Why should it take nearly four hours to buy a used car? I made an appointment for this and specified the car I was interested in. The person I arranged... to meet was not there when I arrived after a three-hour drive. One of his staff instead "assisted" me. The salesman did not even know the car I was interested in.. I expected the car to be waiting for me out front but it took 15 minutes to locate the car. It took another 3+ hours to negotiate! Stay away!
My son and I came into Stohlman VW on 7/1/2019 searching to get my son a new car, help him build some credit as well. We met Sam Estaniss first as we... stepped into the dealership (personable young man with a knowledge that exceeded our expectations). We were referred to the dealership from a friend who has had nothing but the best from them. Mike Kim is the new car manager (which is whom we were referred to). Mike gave us a SUPERB deal on a new Passat, where I had to take a step back and say that we needed to change gears a little bit. I told him my son should not have a brand new car for his first car. So Sam informed my son and I of their extensive selection of used VW's that were in stock. Well my son and I found (what would turn out to be our new car) a Passat TDI that looked brand new. Both my son and I drove it and fell in love. THIS was the car that wound up being my son's first car. Mike again worked his magic and made us a deal that was the best I'd have ever seen. The sales people at Stohlman truly care about their customers and truly know how to sell VW's. My wife was so impressed with the deal and the quality of the vehicle that she told me we are going there for her next SUV.
another bait and switch..... an honest $10k mistake lol i really don't get it....why do they waisting time? and when you tell them they got an attitude.... nice job.
This review is for the service department, specificity the service advisor, Jack Smith. I brought my 2018 GTI in this morning to have the drivers seat... looked at because the seat bottom was creaking loudly when making turns at low speeds or when shifting in the seat. I am from Maryland and this dealership is by no means close to me, but I made the trip first thing this morning out to Tyson's because they were the highest rated VW dealership in the DMV and I am very particular about who services my car. I made the appointment with Marcus but was told when I arrived at 7am that he was not in today and they instead put me with Jack Smith. Right off the bat he didn't introduce himself and blatantly asked, "why are you here?". I told him my concerns and that I made an appointment. He put me on a test drive with the shop foreman who confirmed the noise I was hearing. I was fully prepared to wait a few hours while they looked at the seat, though upon arriving back at the dealer, Jack came out, sat in my drivers seat and turned to me and said, "it's a GTI, they make noises. That's the kind of car you bought." I've had the car 7 months and only have 3,000 miles on it. I refuse to believe that that was normal and I was shocked that a service advisor basically told me that it was a normal occurrence and that they could do little to nothing about it. I told him that I couldn't believe his response, how dismissive he was about my concern and took my keys and left. I decided that, since I took the day off from work to get this issue addressed, to drive back to Maryland to VW of Laurel where I leased the car from originally and get a second opinion. Within 30 mins of my being there they had road tested the car, confirmed the noise, and had 3 technicians looking at the seat to get an idea as to what it was. Turns out the frame of the seat bottom was the cause and they ordered a replacement and will be covering it at no cost. I will never forget how dismissive and basically rude Jack was to me and will never be going back, for service or otherwise, to Stohlman VW.
