I met sales executive Mike Wattawa while looking at a 2018 450h, but it didn't have the updated features I was looking for, which weren't introduced until... 2020. Asked them to find me a 2020 or 2021 Lexus 450h, both of which included Apple Play. They located a 2021 that met my specifications in less than 24 hours. and gave me an excellent price.

Avoid this dealership!!! Pohanka Lexus Chantilly Virginia - especially if you are a Veteran. From the Manager Gary Whipkey (doesn't respond to questions... or email), to Sales Manager Mike Wirth (yells at you over the phone) to Salesman Mike Wattawa (who responds with one or two word sentences) - buying a car from this group is a nightmare. They deserve ZERO stars. They wear you down with hour after hour of details - when you settle on a car and price - they change the car to something you don't want - when you protest they respond by saying the negotiations are over and that the price will change (read increase) and that there's no telling when the car is available - then bring in a car you don't want - and then are very clever as to when the sale is final. Lexus Corporate states they have no control over the dealer in terms of sale - so you are back to the same people who caused you grief in the first place. If you are seeking a Military discount - you have to go through 3 hours of legalize paperwork - 12 pages of forms - have to at least partially finance the car ( just another way to squeeze money out of you). Over two weeks Lexus Customer Service said they had asked the dealership to contact me - no calls - until I wrote to the Manager - who then apparently had his minions actually call me. They "Lost" my DD-214 - I had to return twice with a copy - Lexus had a recall on the car two months after delivery - and no reply from their Tech Rep for assistance. And from other reviews - they overprice their service. Final Comment - avoid this dealership - Pohanka Lexus Chantilly.
I purchased 2019 NX 300 for my wife from Jay Han (salesman) in December 2019. He was amazing! He is professional, thorough, and knowledgeable. He explained... all the features of the car before I bought it and set everything up for me to use. He even called on my wife’s birthday which was nice! I would definitely buy another car from him. Sales part was good but I am not giving 5 stars for the following reasons. I did have several issues with the car. My car has only 14k mileage thus far but had to visit the dealer at least 6 times for different issues. My remote start (complimentary for 1 year) from Lexus app stopped working THREE times and I had to go back to get it checked out every time. It was complimentary for one year since purchase and you have to pay annually after that. I am definitely not going to purchase Lexus Enform Services. Another issue was my car was making a clunking (?) noise when backing up in reverse. I visited the dealer three separate times for this too. Service agent said that is normal which is nonsense. They could never figure it out and I gave up on it. It was such a hassle to go visit and honestly considered hiring a lawyer for Lemon Law for this. Hopefully I do not have to go back for another issue. Another reason is because of my experience on Thursday 7/16 around 830pm. I went in to pick up my car after working 12 hr shift at work. I walked into service center after parking my loaner car in their parking lot and was not greeted. Staff members were talking among themselves. I just stood in front of them and asked to pick up my car and the lady asked if I saw my car walking in (I guess she wanted me to find it). I said no and she said wait and they will bring my car out. I waited outside but no one came. I saw the guy who is supposed to bring my car but he was busy taking care of other cars. I had to go out and find my car and just drove off. For the most part, I have positive experience with Pohanka but wish their staff was more attentive with the customers and need more communication between staff. If this happens again and if my car has another issue, I would reconsider returning to this dealer.
Avoid this dealership to fix your car. They charge $$$ to give you used parts (when supported to be new) or replace your parts with old parts when your... parts are still in good condition to make it wear out faster so you can bring the car in AGAIN for repair and charge you more $$$$$. Just check your car for the after repairs if you want to bring to this dealership.
Worst customer service experience ever! I had turned in a NJ plates RX and leased and ES last year under my company’s name which is a MD registered company.... The car is also garaged at the workplace but I live on the VA side and have VA DL. So they gave me a VA tag car without informing me of the taxation issue in VA knowing that I had just arrived from another state. So ended up paying property taxes in VA and had to re register the car in MD and also paid lots of bucks. I went over to the Lexus talked to their Finance Manager he said “yeah someone made a mistake here by issuing VA tags for you” he then forwarded me to Lexus Financial HQ. Luckily, they have walked me through the whole process but I still ended up paying more than 2.5K. They also told me to handle the rest with the Lexus Dealership. They have made it clear to me that this was a mistake which could easily prevented if they were just a little more careful and they have also advised me to contact the Dealership. Then I contacted the dealership and was forwarded to a Client Service Manager who had no idea what I was talking about who forwarded me to the Finance Director Sai. He really listened and understood me and kindly advised that this is an issue he cannot resolve by himself so the GM needs to get involved. So today GM of Pohanka Lexus called me and his opening line struck me as he said “so you are trying to get away from taxes” there I interrupted him and asked if he knew the story. He said he knew the background and it was my responsibility to ask for either a MD or VA tags. Neither the client service manager nor the General Manager are clearly not listening, understanding or trying to show effort to an unsatisfied customer. I had moved from another state to VA how am I supposed to know what tags to ask for? Did your staff explain or disclose? NO. Did you have it written somewhere? NO. Did you ask me? NO. Why the xxxx you assume that I should know the differences between a MD and VA tag? The GM just like the Client Service Manager was arrogant and rude. They don’t give a xxxx about customer service. They won’t listen to you. Again assuming that a unpleasant customer is just trying to get a deal or compensation from your end is baseless, dumb and unprofessional. I paid all that amount out of my pocket if needed I can pay it again but your customer service and professionalism will always fail simply because you will lose repeat clients like myself.
Cesar was such a great sales man in this dealer. He helped me get my first new car with lots of patience and was very realistic. He gave us such great... customer service I will definitely be referring clients to him.
Wanted to surprise my wife with car for her birthday. Was considering a few local and out of state CT200h’s and Cesar at Pohanka Lexus was kind enough... to make the entire process easy in every way. Even delivered the car himself 50 miles away. Treated me with respect and made everything I wanted to happen, happen. Will always highly recommend!
I brought my lexus car 12/19 for service. I was charged $169 while i was waiting for almost 4 hours and was told that the vibrations in the car was due... to tire defect so they weren’t able to help me. I took the car to a mechanic shop and was told that the axle and engine mount is the problem and not the tire. I came to the dealer again and wanted to talk to a service manager (Jayson McCullough) who was rude and racist and he told me to just wait for an advisor to wait for 20 minutes standing on my foot then an advisor helped me. They took the car in after i told them what happened yesterday. I waited 2 hours and they said the same story that its the tire. I asked to check the axle,brakes and engine mount because i have warranty but they wouldn’t. The manager took me to see the computer that shows that the tire is defected but i requested to check something else and he refused. He told me you don’t have to tell me how to do my job. And if i don’t change the tire, he wont help me. He walked away while I was speaking with him. I have the right to be treated fairly and not discriminated, disrespected and singled out. I did bought the new axle and fixed it out of my pocket.
