Buyers beware!
Buyers beware! As is always the case when you purchase a vehicle you should beware of the things said and left unsaid at the dealership. A couple of weeks ago my wife went in to purchase a Jeep Grand Cherokee. She has always wanted one and we felt like now was the time to purchase with our old car on its last legs. Our salesperson was Sam and he was a nice enough young man who we enjoyed working with. We came in on a Saturday and test drove a couple of cars and told him we would be back the next day. The car my wife liked the most a red Jeep Grand Cherokee was sitting out front on Sunday when we arrived with a bow on it! Nice touch! Long story short we decided to purchase the car and took the offer for our trade-in and put it towards the new purchase. This is where things went BAD. We were sent over to George for financing. We specifically said we wanted to keep our tags and transfer them and he said that was fine. We later found out that he charged us for new tags. We were going through the other parts of the paperwork and he showed us the line for Gap insurance ($1200) and said that every new car is written with Gap insurance already in the quote. I know this not supposed to happen when you are purchasing a car based on the FTC and I almost walked out at that moment, but my wife wanted to purchase the Gap insurance. George was about as slimy as you could be in this process and it really made me feel less comfortable with going through the whole process. We walked out of the financing with our old tags thinking we would be able to simply put them on the new car in a couple of days only to get a call from the George after my wife called and left a message saying that he couldn't transfer our tags. Well of course he couldn't because he charged us for NEW TAGS in the financing process and had no intention on submitting paperwork for a tag transfer! I only gave them 2 stars because of Sam, but honestly this was a 1 star experience (zero really). George and people like him are the reason that people hate to go car shopping. Honestly, I should have just went with my better judge and made sure we had secured financing through our bank first. I would never suggest this place to my family or friends and honestly you shouldn't either. Stay away especially from the financing department.

All the bad reviews are legit. I spoke to Remy at 11 am and made an appointment to see a used car at 3:30. I told him that I lived over an hour away. When I arrived at the dealer at 3:30, I was informed that the car was in the process of being purchased by another customer that had seen it earlier in the day. He didn’t have the common courtesy to notify me or cancel our appointment before I made the 1.5 hour drive sitting in traffic. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience. Avoid Darcars in Silver Spring. They have no appreciation for the time of their potential customers.

In a nutshell.
In a nutshell... this particular dealers service department is shady as xxxx. We've experienced the same long waits to have our Jeep Cherokee serviced and returned, and now they're being shady about servicing the car under an extended service warranty sold at the time of purchase in 2014 (new). We paid and additional $3000 for the car to be covered bumper to bumper except for the usual wear and tear (batteries, wipers, lights, etc.). Then they blew our phone up after about a year trying to convince us to trade it in. Turns out that wasn't a great year for that year's transmission and it's become expensive. We've easily broken even if not been spared major expenses, so as long as this vehicle is in driving condition it'll have to rust from under me. Now we have an issue with the car jerking and hesitating at low speeds. When we first took it in they test drove and confirmed, then said they couldn't get any diagnostics and basically gave it back to it this way. We limped into it Free State Auto & Truck Service for an oil change hoping that would help and THEY pointed out that the filter housing was broken. That may not have been so easy for my untrained eye to see but once shown I feel any rookie mechanic should have been able to see and repair that. On YouTube it looks ridiculously easy so they are just blowing us off and I believe outright lying to avoid their responsibility to honor that warranty.

Great experience all around. Bought my new Pacifica just before the new year hassle free. Alex, sales, was my rep. Alex is a knowledgeable, no-nonsense, straight shooter, and he was my respectful of my time.
