Volvo Announces Prices for Complete 2024 Lineup
Volvo’s well-earned reputation for safety dates deep into the last century. In the 21st century, the brand is looking to build on that by becoming a leader in electrified and fully electric vehicles. The company has announced pricing for its entire 2024 lineup, and there’s not a sedan or SUV on the roster that isn’t at least available as a hybrid (all prices include destination charges).

C40 Recharge
The high-style C40 is mechanically identical to the brand’s XC40 Recharge. It’s only available as fully electric, though, with no gas-powered offerings. Like the XC40 Recharge, the C40 is available with either a single 248-horsepower motor on the rear axle or a motor at either end for a combined 402 hp. EPA-rated range is 297 miles for the single motor or 257 for the twin.
- C40 Recharge Single Motor: $54,695
- C40 Recharge Twin Motor: $56,445
XC40
The compact XC40 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 247 hp and a 48-volt hybrid system. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels. The electric XC40 Recharge either gets a single 248-hp motor on the rear axle or a pair of motors powering both axles for a total of up to 402 hp. The single-motor XC40 is good for up to 293 miles, according to the EPA, while the twin-motor version will drain its battery pack in 254 miles.
- XC40: $41,295
- XC40 Recharge: $53,645
- XC40 Recharge Twin Motor: $55,395
XC60
Another SUV with a history that dates back to the time internal combustion engines ruled the Earth, the mid-size XC60 is still available with a gas burner. The turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 247 hp and is assisted by a 48-volt hybrid system. All XC60s are all-wheel drive. The plug-in hybrid XC60 Recharge adds a pair of electric motors that boost output to a total of 455 hp. For 2024, the XC60 also gets a new Black Edition option.
- XC60: $47,645
- XC60 Recharge: $59,095
XC90
Transplant the XC60’s powertrains into a three-row SUV body that seats up to seven, and you’ve got the XC90. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged four makes 247 hp in the B5 trim or, with a supercharger in addition to the turbo, 295 in B6 variants. The XC90 Recharge adds two electric motors for a total system output of 455 hp. All versions get an eight-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels.
- XC90: $57,195
- XC90 Recharge: $73,095
Sedans
S60
The compact S60 is a comfortable, stylish entry-level luxury sedan. Without hybrid assistance, its 247-hp, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine can be had with either front- or all-wheel drive. Add in the S60 Recharge plug-in hybrid’s equipment, and you have a 455-hp, AWD sedan that can go up to a claimed 41 miles on electricity alone.
- S60: $43,095
- S60 Recharge: $53,045
S90
Straddling the typical mid- and full-size luxury-sedan footprints, the S90 pairs a turbo- and supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with either a mild-hybrid system for 295 hp or a plug-in setup for a total of 455 hp. All S90s have AWD, and the S90 Recharge has a claimed electric range of up to 38 miles.
- S90: $58,795
- S90 Recharge: $66,745

Station Wagons
V60
The only way to sell a station wagon to Americans anymore is to disguise it as a crossover or market it to the weird niche of performance geeks who like fast wagons; Volvo has both groups covered with the V60. In the Cross Country trim, the V60 is powered by the brand’s 247-hp, turbocharged four-cylinder, rides a little higher than the S60 sedan and wears plastic lower-body cladding to butch up the looks. If you’re not into the quasi-crossover vibe, your only choice is the 455-hp V60 Recharge, which can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just over 4 seconds and has a claimed electric range of up to 41 miles.
- V60 Cross Country: $50,845
- V60 Recharge: $72,345
V90
Is it too much to ask Volvo to build a larger hot-rod station wagon than the V60 Recharge? Yes, yes it is. The only powertrain available in the V90 is the 295-hp, super- and turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid with an eight-speed automatic and AWD. And since it’s not a stealth performance wagon, it gets the higher ride height and black lower-body plastic.
- V90 Cross Country: $60,245
