What Else Is New for the 2025 Bronco Sport?
Previously only available on the Bronco, the 2025 Bronco Sport’s Sasquatch Package brings a locking dual-clutch rear differential, 29-inch Goodyear Territory all-terrain tires and position-sensitive Bilstein rear dampers with piggyback reservoirs to the Badlands and Outer Banks trims. Buyers of the entry-level Big Bend trim can’t get the Sasquatch bundle, but they can opt for the Black Diamond Off-Road Package, which includes front and rear tow hooks and steel underbody protection.
With or without the Sasquatch Package, all Bronco Sport Badlands now include a Rally G.O.A.T. driving mode (for Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) that holds gears longer and sharpens the throttle map for a more responsive pedal when driving in sand. All Bronco Sports also now include an Off-Road mode, and the compact SUV’s bumpers have been redesigned with built-in accessory mounts.
Release Date and Pricing
The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is on sale now. Full line pricing is as follows (all prices include $1,595 destination charge):
- Big Bend: $31,590
- Free Wheeling: $34,730
- Heritage: $34,990
- Outer Banks: $36,890
- Badlands: $41,710
What Are the 2025 Bronco Sport’s Trim Levels?
Beyond the aforementioned tech upgrades, the entry-level Bronco Sport Big Bend is pretty basic. It rides on gray 17-inch wheels and features LED headlights, cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, six speakers and wireless device charging.
The Free Wheeling trim level is a throwback to the late 1970s, adorned with bold red, orange and yellow stripes, a black roof and black 17-inch wheels with bright-red pockets. Aside from its appearance, though, the Free Wheeling’s content is the same as the Big Bend’s.
Looking deeper into the past, the Bronco Sport Heritage honors the very first Ford Bronco, with a white grille featuring red lettering, a white roof and white 17-inch wheels. It gets navy-blue plaid cloth seats but is otherwise equipped identically to the Big Bend and Free Wheeling.
The Outer Banks is where Ford starts feeding in the luxury features. It rides on 18-inch wheels and gets a black roof, LED foglamps, power-adjustable and heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control and remote start.
Even without the Sasquatch Package, the Badlands trim gets the upgraded dual-clutch rear differential, as well as all-terrain tires, steel underbody protection and perforated leather.
Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is standard on every 2025 Bronco Sport and includes forward collision warning with pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, rear parking sensors and automatic high beams.
Optional on the Outer Banks and standard on the Badlands, Co-Pilot360 Assist 2.0 adds front parking sensors, reverse brake assist, and a 360-degree camera system for parking and off-road maneuvering.
What Are the 2025 Bronco Sport’s Powertrain Specs and MPG?
A turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 200 pounds-feet of torque is standard in the Bronco Sport, while a 238-hp, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 277 pounds-feet of torque is standard in the Badlands. Both are coupled with eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
Official fuel-economy estimates are not yet available for the 2025 model, but they are unlikely to change from the 2024 model’s figures. With the 1.5-liter, the Bronco Sport returns an EPA-rated 25/29/26 mpg city/highway/combined; the 2.0-liter four-cylinder drops the estimates to 21/26/23 mpg.
