2025 Lexus LC 500 Get More Bracing, Priced From $100,425
Lexus sells some 60 RX SUVs for every LC two-door it moves, but the coupe and convertible stand as beacons for the brand’s values: bold styling, cosseting comfort and — in the case of the hybrid LC 500h, at least — sensible technology. For the 2024 model year, Lexus addressed the nonsensical technology that was the dramatic LC’s primary shortcoming and swapped out the distracting touchpad infotainment interface for a proper touchscreen. For 2025, the LC 500 and LC 500h coupes get additional underfloor bracing. Aside from a new paint color, a carbon-fiber scuff plate for the hybrid’s Sport Package and new roof-color options for the convertible, the car is otherwise unchanged.

Powertrain Specs and MPG
There’s nothing particularly cutting-edge about the engine in the LC 500, and its 471 horsepower and 398 pounds-feet of torque pale in comparison to most competitors. But the normally aspirated 5.0-liter V-8 emits a stirring yawp that is vanishingly rare in the 2020s and uniquely barbaric alongside the Germans’ twin-turbocharged eights. A 10-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels.
Lexus claims the LC 500 coupe will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds (the convertible in 4.6), which is plenty quick to be entertaining without unduly endangering your driver’s license. Toyota says the LC 500 coupe maintains the 2024 model’s EPA-rated 16/24/18 mpg city/highway/combined, and the convertible gets 15/25/18 mpg (official ratings for the 2025 model are not yet available).
Only available in coupe form, the LC 500h teams a 3.5-liter V-6 with a pair of electric motors and a battery for a combined 354 hp. A continuously variable automatic makes the most of the V-6’s power and helps it get to 60 mph just 0.3 second behind the non-hybrid coupe, despite the 117-hp deficit. While the hybrid’s soundtrack can’t compare to the V-8’s, its 26/33/29 mpg are figures few big luxury coupes would even dream of.

The 2025 Lexus LC will arrive at dealers later this fall. Pricing, including the $1,175 destination fee, is as follows:
- LC 500: $100,425
- LC 500h: $103,575
- LC 500 Convertible: $107,625
Safety Features and Trim Levels
Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 is standard on every 2025 LC 500 and 500h. It includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, emergency steering assist, oncoming-vehicle detection with automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure prevention, lane-centering steering and road-sign recognition. Blind spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alert, a 360-degree parking camera, and front and rear parking sensors are also standard.
Aside from their powertrains and whether or not the roof folds, the LCs all get the same list of standard equipment. Exterior highlights include an adaptive suspension, 21-inch wheels, and LED front and rear lighting. Inside the sumptuous cabin are heated and ventilated front seats, a 12-speaker sound system, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Numerous option packages add things like sport suspension tunes, a limited-slip differential, upgraded leather and a 13-speaker Mark Levinson audio system. In addition, Lexus offers its Bespoke Build program for the LC, which gives buyers access to numerous wheel, upholstery and exterior trim options.
