2019-2020 Mercedes-Benz A-Class, CLA-Class, GLC-Class: Recall Alert
Vehicles Affected: Approximately 2,200 model-year 2019-20 Mercedes-Benz A220 sedans, model-year 2020 CLA250 coupes and model-year 2020 GLC300 SUVs
The Problem: The driver-side front airbag modules may not have been correctly bolted down, which may cause improper deployment of the airbag in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect the driver airbag module and replace it, as necessary, for free.
What Owners Should Do: Mercedes-Benz will begin notifying owners Nov. 26. Owners can call the automaker at 800-367-6372, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
