Vehicles Affected: Approximately 73,000 model-year 2018-19 Volkswagen Atlas and Tiguan SUVs and model-year 2019 Jetta sedans that don’t have keyless entry
The Problem: The instrument cluster may not provide an audible warning to let the driver know that the key is still in the ignition when the door is open, which can increase the risk of vehicle theft or crash.
The Fix: Dealers will reprogram the instrument cluster for free.
